On November 1, 2018, a 21-year-old man was killed after he lost control of his 2000 GMC Yukon and collided with a traffic signal. Since that day, various local news media programs have been releasing new information regarding both the investigation and the victim.
Last Thursday, the Redding Police Department disclosed that the victim is Brennan Emmitt Gard of Anderson, California. He was speeding and towing a quad runner when he lost control of his SUV. After Gard hit the traffic signal, his vehicle reportedly rolled several times before coming to a stop. Because Gard wasn’t wearing his seatbelt, he was ejected from his vehicle after the initial impact.
Different witnesses have reported that an unknown driver stopped at the intersection when the collision occurred; however, this driver immediately left the scene of the accident and still hasn’t been identified. Police are hoping this driver can provide additional information about the collision.
